The peel strength test is a critical evaluation used to measure the adhesive properties of pressure-sensitive tapes, such as mask tapes, ensuring their reliability and performance in various applications. One of the most widely recognized methods for this test is ASTM D3330, the Standard Test Method for Peel Adhesion of Pressure-Sensitive Tape.

Importance of Peel Strength Testing for Mask Tapes

  • 180° Peel Fixture: Designed to hold the substrate flat while peeling the tape at a straight, horizontal angle.
  • 90° Peel Fixture: Includes a clamping mechanism that adjusts the angle to 90° for applications requiring this orientation.
